When I'm not shooting videos or documentaries for work, I'm shooting videos and documentaries for fun. As well as writing stories and poems, taking photos, shooting time lapses. I love making things, below are some of the things I love to do just for fun or personal interest. More to come soon!

SHORT VIDEOS & POETRY FILMS
Rally for Sardasht Osman Iraqi Kurdistan (2010)
In 2010 I did some peacework in Iraqi Kurdistan. A few days after my arrival a young local journalist was assassinated. We accompanied family, friends and local community members in a rally in Suli.
Music from the Rania Youth Activity Center - Iraqi Kurdistan (2010)
Filming at the Rania Youth Activity Center. Amazing place of healing for first and second generation trauma survivors.
Poetry Film - The Way of the Winter Storm (2016)
Part One: The Way of the Winter Storm.
Dedicated to my family.
Poetry Film - With a Cross and Fashion for Violence (2018)
Poetry Film, written and filmed by Brad Leitch. Dedicated to a respected teacher and peacebuilder W Kroeker.
This piece grapples with the legacy of religious institutional violence and the prophetic voices for justice and peace whose dissent is crushed.
Poetry Film - Nameless
Poetry Film. Dedicated to supporters of my film Theatre of Neighbours Uncle Don and Aunt Kathy. Written and filmed by Brad Leitch. Music by Hans Zimmer. Thank-you Hans!
I grew with a strong belief in the afterlife and heaven. But what if this was all there was, would it be enough? How might the change how I live? How might it change how I die?

Red Threads of Peace
Playback Theatre Project (2012)
This is my Winnipeg Playback theatre troupe! I love and miss them all so much. Red Threads of Peace. A few years after this video I made a documentary film about them too. Check out "Theatre of Neighbours".
Consumption Sabbath Revival Event Recap (2012)
Guerilla theatre? Church revival? Both? I reckon it was a gathering about the spiritual condition of our addiction to over-consumption and a genuine call to action to take a sabbath from our insatiable appetite for more.
Enjoy! and make your pledge today!
Consumption Sabbath
"Calling the Choir for the Revival Event"
(2012)
Guerilla theatre? Church revival? Both? I reckon it was a gathering about the spiritual condition of our addiction to over-consumption and a genuine call to action to take a sabbath from our insatiable appetite for more.

Mennonites and Friends Lament
on the Line (2013)
I don't always know what to do. I don't always know the right questions. Or the right answers. I went to lament my own dependence issues on this substance.
Many in this crowd are still movers and shakers on these issues. Together may we all find better ways to live in right relationship with all creation. Thank-you to the dreamers and leaders and activists and bridge builders you inspire me and help us keep our courage up.
Pandemic Graduation for a most wonderful new nurse
(April 2020)
My love Adrienne thought she was coming to a birthday picnic, but we threw her the surprise graduation she never knew she wanted but we hope will always cherish. Adrienne became a nurse two weeks before the start of the pandemic and all official grad ceremonies that year were cancelled. This was our first post lockdown pandemic hangout after the first wave.
Storm Footage
(2011)
I love Winnipeg and I love Manitoba! For the 9 years I lived there I spent many summer nights chasing prairie storms with my buds on long drives in the country. I only had to walk half a block from my home to watch this one though!
Anthony Sweet
"She's Fallen"
(2011)
A just for fun music video I made for Anthony Sweet's song "She's Fallen". I think my first music video. We improvised and made magic :)
RUMMY (2012)
This was a few years after my mother died, and being with her parents I remember thinking I did not want to take moments like this for granted. So I took out my camera. These were great times.
ART OF PEACEBUILDING
CLASS PROJECT (2012)
Spray paint stencil work to honour peacebuilders and to fill the university hallways with their portraits on valentines day.
CAFE IN INSTANBUL (2010)
Outside the Blue Mosque, on our way to Iraq, we stopped in Turkey to stay with friends. Here I'm receiving a traditional Turkish tea reading :)
This video was made for a fiction project grant application. I was not successful in the application but hey we keep trying right! :) Thought I'd make it public and share with you.
